In regards to my writing, my publishers is wrapping up a major outside project and will then devote his time to my Vietnam book-"Apache Snow". As to my westerns for the Arizona Rangers Series, "Blake's War", is completed and Book 2- "The Indian Wars", is at Page 259 and I believe I've got about 100 to 120 pages yet to go to finish it and then I begin first editing. I have said before, there are 6 books to this series and possibly more. I could bring this series right up into the 1900's. Not sure,it may depend on sales. If the Ranger series clicks I hope to purchase a new computer.
We also plan to put a new cover on the book, "A Coming Storm", to be more attractive to the buyer and my daughter -Elizabeth is working on this for the publisher's review. With the new treaty between China and Russia, another one of my prophecies listed in the book has come about. Again, I have never state nor believe I am a prophet, but the items listed in my book at the beginning came to me in my dreams, repeated over and over again. This is why I wrote the book.
I have not had internet for sometime now and have been unable to follow the news. As a result I have removed some of the stress from my life. Writing about the old west has also enlightened me concerning the travesties of history. Much of these things I knew, because I was an Old West history nut, but diving into the Indian Wars of the Southern Plains Tribes and why they fought made me extremely upset with my government.
As most of you know, or I have mentioned before in my e-mails, during my senior year in high school, my mom sort of semi-adopted a young Apache by the name of Andy...I cannot spell out his full name without the errors. But Andy was my Best friend in High School, but his father, the next to come hereditary Chief of their tribe had died and his Grandfather's health was failing. This meant Andy was about to become the next Chief. But his mother married a Mexican, who didn't like Andy very much...and Andy became my roommate. We became blood brothers in our Senior Year in High School. I was made Blood Brother to the Apache. But after Vietnam, we lost contact, though I had tried to find him.
I did a lot of research into the Apache and the main 7 tribes of Arizona. I laugh when I see movies that have Apache in other states, especially Texas, which is Comanche land. So, in writing my series I have delved into the Apache history, the atrocities committed by them and to them. I have found that Cochise was quite the statesman, who only wanted peace but was pushed into years of a holy War.
Ride is here, time to GO.
God Bless!
