SNOW!!!! Yes, Yesterday the first snow of this winter made its arrival, leaving 2-4 inches in Moose Pass and now my yard is a cascade of white fluffy and extremely wet snow. Only one real problem, I still have 9-10 cords of wood exposed and now sopping and soaking. Caught by surprise once again. Most of it is cut up, but haven't been able to get hands on a splitter, yet. So, we've got a few electric heaters running as the temp dropped to plus 20 degrees. Alaska is always an adventure.

Greetings: We're experiencing a very wet October and our snow level is gradually coming down the mountains. I've been off the computer for a bit, during which time we've moved my office from the living room into the upstairs bedroom. This makes things a lot easier for me, but I've lost some e-mails I received over the last few days, so if you sent us any e-mails, please resend them.
Hello to All: It has been a couple of weeks since my last journal and thought I'd better catch-up with you all. Life just keeps going on here in Moose Pass. No snow yet at our level and believe me I can wait awhile longer. We've had a couple earthquakes in the 4 and 5 point range, no damage. Lost power for a few hours yesterday, but all is well and its back on. Sort of makes the household go crazy when nothing works and the great-grandchildren want to watch cartoons.
