Oh what a beautiful Sunday, oh what a beautiful day...one of those crispy morning you just want to break out into song and merriment. If I only had a voice... Well, all of our snow is gone, as we expected, except on the low mountains and the mountains can only be described as "majestic". Snow does that to our Chugach Mountains, especially in the Crown Point, Moose Pass and Cooper Landing areas.

Disclaimer first: There is another computer-type person in Moose Pass, who is now sending out daily stuff under the title, "Moose Pass Messenger". I was asked if I wanted to join, which I declined. And yes, the person actually exists and works for the town's Emergency Services Volunteer Corps. Nice lady. Apparently, she's been doing her messenger a whole lot longer than I've been doing my Journal. Her Messenger only goes out once or twice a month. So, I will continue one- lucky you.
What a beautiful day! I'd love t be outside, but I promised my lovely wife I would stay in the house for three days while she traveled to Fairbanks with Susan. Liam is here to watch over his ancient Grandfather. Mona is just worried I'd go outside and hurt myself. They left early this morning, taking two of the dogs with them. Susan went up to see her daughter and two granddaughters, while Mona went up to see family and say goodbye to Jim and Vicki Williams. They are moving to Oregon. We've been family/friends for a very long time and I will miss them both very much.
A cold, foggy morning, with a dashing of permafrost on the mountain tops. Still, the flying dragons, numbering in the thousands, persist to bite and ruin a good day. One would think the cold nights and early mornings would destroy these pests, but not yet.
Dividend Day 2016!!! Yes, today every Alaskan citizen, who was found eligible and has direct deposit, received their Alaska Dividend in the amount of $1,022.00. Now it was supposed to be twice that, but the governor cut it in half to help fund the state's budget and our cowardly House and Senate didn't stand up against him.
