Listen, my family and friends, I wished to dedicate this issue of of the Journal & Blog to a very dear friend of mine...a Mr. Gary Wells. Mona and I met him in 1990, when we began attending Lighthouse Community Church in Fairbanks, Alaska. I had brought the family back up to the north, leaving Whittier, at Prince William Sound, Alaska, to become a State of Alaska Senior Investigator.
Happy dinnertime to you all. The time here in our snow-less land of Moose Pass is 6:40 p.m.. We've had a bit of rain today, but it had stayed in the low 40's. Not what most of you would expect for Alaska.

The time is now 1:16 p.m., do you happen to know where my brain is? I tripped over my mouth this morning and lost it. Flew right out of my left ear- little fella. They even sent out a search team, but to no avail. Had to pen up the dogs and cats to keep them chowing down on my lovely memories, ability to feed myself and walk down the hallway to that private room without a bed. Family will post a reward later, they have not bothered to tell me how much, but I am beginning to suspect someone will be calling with a ransom demand. But the family has decided anything over $15, they can keep it. Still, I find it odd what one can still do without a brain.
This is part two of today's blog. As you might remember, I had to run off in search of my brain. Along the way I met this squeaky tin woodsman, a temperamental pussycat and a dancing fool of a scarecrow. They seemed to remind me of someone...a 60's era rock band? But no news on the brain.
So, lets finish off the news- A Very good evening...I guess I should say this is somewhat of a late evening as I am getting started here at about 10:20 p.m. Our last three days have been considered cold, with clear skies and heavy frost. But we are hoping for snow in March. Weather wise there have been some freakish things going on that makes one feel that Spring is just around the corner. The Swans are coming through and they are early, with no snow it feels like March to early April, and we've had word the Beluga Whales are in.
Hello everyone. This Blog is taking in Jan 1st through 3rd of our new year-2015. I find it so strange that with every new year I am still here to observe it. No, I don't feel old, for I am only 61 yrs old, but its the number of years I've seen, the events in those years and now holding my great-grandson Solomon on my lap.
A Very Happy New Year to you all in about 6 hours and 45 minutes...or so. Now if you are still interested in our surrounding world of white fluff, to enjoy it you would have to hike up the mountain sides a good distance to reach any. High winds in the near hurricane range and heavy rains have returned us to our former late Fall look of mud most everywhere. Now it is true the local weather report for last night promised us 12-15 inches of snow and had it cooled down we just might have gotten that snowfall in a raging blizzard. But now I suspect our lake is another foot up from the deluge that hit us.
