"Oh what a beautiful morning", open line to the song sung on the movie "Oklahoma", the writer must've been think about an Alaskan summer. Well, it sure is right on the dot this morning. Skies are so blue and mostly cloudless. Wish you all could experience it. Of course I wouldn't ask any tourist to visit here in February, might be a bit chilly, but no bugs.

Good Morning to you all. Another foggy morning here in Moose Pass, but clearing away fast as temperatures rise.. Mostly everyone in the household still dealing with a bad bout of Bronchitis, Mona is on her 4th week and I'm on my second or third week of fighting the bug. Great-grandchildren now better and that's good. I hate to see the little ones sick, but keep them away from us so they don't re-catch it.
appy Tuesday! Rain has finally come to our valley and it appears the last of our smoke from the Swan Lake Fire has left us. Thank you, Lord! Mona has been very sick for the last week, but her fever broke finally and she is now working on getting her strength back. I started to get the bug, but all the medicines and vitamins I take seem to help out. All I got was the congestion and cough, but now on the mend. Patrick, Canaan's husband has flown south for his job in Oregon.
Good Morning to All: Cooler here this morning- thank you, Lord. Rain clouds hanging low, but so far no rain and a bit of a breeze is blowing. But no smoke visible, so maybe the fire is finally out.
Heard from Susan today, my earlier Editor, she is moving back down here in October, so I will have two editors- she and Ava. Ava has finished "Geronimo": and now working on "Indian Wars". I'll drop ship you both when she has finished the second one. I'm half-way through "Attack on Fort Bowie", which follows Indian Wars. Susan is still working on "Sandbox Wars", 3rd book in Apache Snow Trilogy and deals with the war in Afghanistan.
Good Afternoon from Moose Pass. Still smoky here and no breeze, but slightly better than a couple days ago. Been up 90 degrees in the shade, which is pretty unusual for Moose Pass, but expected to cool off soon...by midweek.
