And another fine day to you. Here in Moose Pass have cloudless skies, moderate winds and temperatures running between minus 4 degrees up to plus 24 degrees. But the wind-chill can always make things interesting.
Mona and I, with our dear friend, Rose, spent the day in Seward. Now here, the high icy winds reminded me of our 3-years we lived in Skagway, AK. The river valley, where the town was, behaves more like a wind tunnel. Now Seward wasn't quite that bad. But it can make you feel a temperature drop of 30-degrees to your flesh and lungs.
Now, some of you will think this is one of my tall tales, but in 1979, out at Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska, I went to work one morning and at 07:40 something it was plus 60 and I only brought my field jacket with me. Not thinking I'd need my winter parka and arctic gear. But, at 16:30 something hours (4:30 p.m.) the actual temperature was minus 40 degrees. We have suffered a 100 degree drop. In nearly 9-hours this occurred and it provided a most unusual effect as the freezing air began to crackle. By the time I walked home I was truly cold and I learned something. If there was ice, snow or ice cream on the ground, one should always have his arctic gear with him/her.
Mona and Susan are over in Soldotna today, running errands and leaving John Alex, and I home...with the 5-ankle biters and two cats. I took advantage of the day by reorganizing my DVD shelves. Between DVD and VHS, (Yes, I still watch the VHS movies- I own several never placed on a DVD), we own about 1,000 movies. But I had let my filing system collapse and had the movies all mixed up. Lot's of dust, too. I'm prepping myself for a few hours of writing, hoping to type out another 10-12 or 20 pages.

He was to "stem the flow.". Oddly enough, German experts recommended the number of 300,000 to counter lower German birth rates. (This could mean an addition of 12-million people in 40-years and when you add the amount of immigrants in Germany-most of them Muslim, it is very possible that Germany could become a Muslim State and sharia law is bring practiced.) My spellcheck just quit-sorry.
Gatestone: MSNBC Interview- "& I RUNWAY MOUTH" reported by Najat ALSaid (It's right), on 3/17, Linda Sarsour, a HAMAS and Muslim Brotherhood spokesperson and sympathizer, said that in the United States, Muslim children are being executed, [a lie], and Muslims are prohibited from practicing their faith, [a lie].
Washington Free Beacon: Iraq- "ISIS could eradicate Christians from Middle East."- "Christians are being killed en masse by the radical Muslim group (ISIS), threatening the existence in the region." Reported by Adam Kredo on 3/17. "Not a single ISIS perpetrator has been held accountable for genocide, crimes against humanity or war crimes." - "United Nations have also failed to take action."
Global Times: Laos- "6,000 children in Laos die each year due to malnutrition", report by Xinhua (Chinese news service). Statistics from the report, entitled "Research an Intervention, Maternal Health and Infections", estimated cost to repair the problem at $197 Million-US. UNICEF reported to have given $7.2 million US to help with the problem.
Global Times: China- Pakistan and China is moving further to enhance and boost military cooperation. This involves weapons and anti-Terrorism. (This could place Chinese forces on the border with Afghanistan and U.S. Forces.)

TEPCO and government found "Negligent". (It's a start, but higher courts will be involved in this, too. A lot of people died and have since died from radiation, plus those injured, and all the damages caused.)
Global Times: United States- "NASA's Asteroid Redirect Mission Out in Trump's Budget Request". A satellite with capability to "robotically identify , capture and redirect a piece of an asteroid to a stable orbit of Earth's moon. (Might've helped with the next comet or asteroid hurtling our way, suddenly popping up out of nowhere from that 90% of the space we cannot see all the time. Might show up right behind the moon, or might not arrive for another 100,000 years.)

Russia government refers to them, by current law, to be an "Extremist Organization". There are 175,000 Jehovah's Witnesses in Russia. (Moscow wants to help American train Afghan troops. 3/17/17- numerous new attacks by Taliban throughout Afghanistan in fresh attacks. We could have a whole lot of friendly and unfriendly troops from China, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Russia and the US, in one small area. Could b trouble ahead.)
St. Petersburg News/Russia: Due to Russian feelings and laws covering "Gay Propaganda", the Disney movie, "Beauty and the Beast", will be stamped with a "16 plus" rating. This is due to the gay character created for this version. The homosexual laws were voted on in 2013 and signed by President Putin.
Russian Herald/Russia: "St. Petersburg Court rules Russian LGBT Advocacy Group, called "Vykhod", (coming out), must now register itself as a "Foreign Agent", due to the fact they receive funding from abroad. Violators may receive stiff fines and prison terms.
Manila Times: Kenya- United Nations appeals for $166 million US to aid Kenyen Pastoralists and Farmers during this "National Drought Disaster".
Manila Times: Myanmar (Burma)- "Dozens Killed in Fresh Clashes on Myanmar's Chinese Border." These are not the first of those killed between the two forces. Their mounting death toll is causing a major effect on the "Peace Process". Fighting has broken out between troops and ethnic minority rebels from the Chinese speaking Kokang Border Region. (Note- Some years after the US pulled out of Vietnam, Chinese forces had months of border clashes with the Vietnamese Army. It was reported the Chinese used this for live-fire training to harden their men.)
Egypt News: China- Chinese Military to build on a "disputed" shoal in the South China Sea. ( Now that is bound to start something with Japan and the US.)
Egyptian News: United States- Now, for those of you who are not aware, U.S. Border/Customs agents are using an old law enacted by President George W Bush, to now remove you of your cellphone and your password, for inspection. Where it was once used to target a particular individual for a criminal case, this law, is now being used often and some say against only minorities. Your 4th Amendment protections involving Search and Seizure, and requires a "Reasonable Suspicion", this will not cover you at border crossings. ( Most of the agents I knew would be targeting the pretty blondes traveling alone). Some of you oldsters in my class and older, will remember Maxwell Smart of "Get Smart" TV Series. He had his phone in his shoe and I suspect it would've had quite an odor on the set to be taking a sniff when the part called for it. I would've had one to give my teenage daughters- phone call wouldn't have lasted as long.
