Yesterday and for a few days before that I asked you to locate some back stories on the Japanese Disaster involving the nuclear plants, which could be still contaminating the Northern Pacific.
Well today, while checking through my various newspapers I found a couple stories.....
Japan Times: 1/28/16- Former Prime Minister Naoto Kan, who was Prime Minister of Japan when the earthquake and tsunami caused the disaster at the nuclear plant 5 years earlier, appeared before the National Press Club in Washington D.C. and issued a report on the Fukushima #1 Power Plant Disaster. He advised that radioactive materials continue to seep into the sea after mixing with ground water (this would also cause contamination to the surrounding ground soil). Since the disaster, Kan has become a vocal critic of nuclear energy. "The accident is still unfolding." Kan also disagrees with the current Prime Minister' s rush to restart the country's nuclear reactors and his bid for the 2020 Olympics.
Japan Times: 2/22/16- Radioactive water discovered leaking at Takahama # 4 Reactor, now causing a delay in restarting the reactor. An estimated 34 liters have leaked out so far. ( Interesting how Japan is reporting their own stories, but the Washington Press Club...well, I haven't been able to find anything yet concerning Kan's speech. Makes me wonder what is happening to the North Pacific after 5 yrs of this contamination and what have we consumed- shrimp or crab anyone?
Speigel/Germany- Locals in an eastern Germany community stood-by and cheered as a former hotel, now set aside as a refugee home for asylum seeking refugees, burned. It was suspected the fire was the work of arson.
NEWSMAX: New York City- New bill due to be proposed this spring by the city's democratic party leaders that would allow municipal I.D. cards to be issued to an estimated 1.3 million non-resident citizens living in NYC, along with the rest of the city's residents. An estimated 500,000 of said non-resident citizens are undocumented illegals, who will now be allowed to vote in city elections. Conservatives are calling this plan as "outrageous", accusing the democrats of attempting to "buy votes". ( There was earlier talk of a similar plan being put into play for the millions of undocumented illegals being allowed to vote in the upcoming General Election in November.)
Gatestone News: Migrant crime has skyrocketed in Germany, based on statistics from 2014 to 2015, showing an 80% increase and these statistics are based on crimes solved and fail to show the crimes committed in Germany's largest state- North Rhine-Westphalia, and most populated. This is where the City of Cologne is, where on News Years Day 2015, hundreds of German women were sexually assaulted on the streets by migrants. Crimes solved jumped to an average of 570 a day, over 2014. Now, Europe is supposedly is awaiting the arrival of 8 to 10 million additional migrants, with word that only 10-14% of the war's refugees having reached the safety of Europe. Along with the refugees though comes the intelligence report of how 5,000 trained Jihadists could be among them- awaiting the signal to engage their enemy. Mass chaos could be right around the corner or the intelligence network has it all wrong again. ( I saw work it both ways in Vietnam but the Boy Scout motto: Be Prepared, always works in our favor. )
Jerusalem Post: British Broadcasting Authority warns Peace TV URDU Network for airing 2 programs in September 2015, featuring the late Dr. Isar Ahmad, that were anti-Semitic in nature. Dr. Ahmad had made statements, such as, the Jewish People were "Like a Cancer".
Japan Times: Japan Supreme Court has issued a landmark decision, effecting permanent foreign residents and such foreign residents married to Japanese Nationals. It was decided that Non- Japanese National, such as the two groups listed, were no longer entitled to welfare benefits. They may still apply, and the individual community or state may offer same, however doubtful now, but the Country of Japan would no longer provide said benefits.
Beijing Globe: China is expecting a 20% rise in births in the capital city in 2016 and our now preparing for an estimated 300,000 babies. The number of women of child bearing age has risen to 2.36 million. ( I suspect hospital jobs and party supply factories have the best job retention in the city. Outside it would be in the farming and fishing. Last year the military was trying to recruit 8,000 pilots. Possibly out of 300,000 they can find a couple hundred astronauts for a Jupiter landing.)
Well, it was nice to see that someone in Japan was staying honest about the current situation with the nuke disaster. Be nice if our own government might keep us up to date on what is happening in the waters of the North Pacific. Like maybe a map show how wide the contamination has gone along the sea bottom. Contaminated fish and other critters move along, they chow down on radioactive ocean bottom plant life or smaller critters. How long before king crab, shrimp and krill become "hot" and they're consumed by the big boys and eventually man? Stay with Atlantic tuna, I've seen some of those ugly fish being caught off Alaska. Most look wonderful, but now and then....yuk! Fishing boat should be required to carry detectors to check their load before they empty it on to their boats, or risk a boat seizure when they back to shore. No Nukes! No Nukes!
You know, with all this refugee problem going on, I wonder how us Alaskans would handle it? Better yet, how us Alaskan Christians would? What seems to be going on in Germany and a few other locations seems to me is contrary to our Christian teachings. What if it was used fleeing from the Chinese or Russian hordes and the Canadians began setting fire to our asylum houses, maybe our buses with our families still aboard. Seems to be we are drawing ever closer to the proverbial End Times.
All for now. Bless your days. Bill
