Well, I was up early this morning doing my news research, but I look at the clock on my computer and see it is now almost 1 p.m. Where does all the time go. True, I've been able to locate two new Chinese news sources and spent some time checking them out to see what they had to say about their new alliance deal with Russia, ( more on that later). I was somewhat surprised to see Universal Studios is spending over $3 billion to build their new theme park in Beijing. I do hope it does better than Disney did. Unfortunately, as it was explained to me by a French friend, foreigners didn't grow up with Disney like Americans, and the fantasy world just wasn't the same for Disney/Tokyo, Disney/France and wherever else Snow White is chasing the White Rabbit and Buzz Light-year actually flies. A lot of the European population enjoy the rides, food and toys, but they do not share our love for the characters as we do. So as to how the Chinese will view Marvel characters is anyone's guess. Sure they see most of our movies, some with extra editing and language changes. Maybe they should've staged a big Universal parade and see if anyone mugged the characters or through rocks at them. I watched several movies in Vietnamese and Thai, believe me a lot was lost in seeing American actors speaking in the dubbed tongues of high toned or throat strained voices. The worst was some Thai lady dubbing Goldie Hawn. I wanted my money back, but I was still laughing as I walked out of the theater. I'm not sure what Ms. Hawn would have said, had she attended.
Had a nice surprise yesterday, our son; James and Joshua came down from Anchorage to give us a hand in our preparing for winter. They joined me at church and grabbed a quick bite at the church luncheon. They then hauled three loads of stuff to the dump, did other misc trips for us and hauled 4 loads of flat-wood down from our friend's saw mill. We just need to get it cut down to stove size with our chain-saw and miter-saw, then stacked. They finally got out of here late last night. I wish to thank Becca and Jen for the loan of their menfolk.
I would appreciate some prayers from you prayer warriors for general health improvements of our clan here and vehicle improvements. We only have a borrowed pick-up running right now and it goes to Seward every day. Two other primary vehicles down and two other vehicles broken. So, we could use some prayer help and direction. Expect long hard winter, deep snow and a lot of wood needed to keep the house warm. Thank you.
Fresh snow on the mountains, but we have puddles. But it appears we may have a nice day today as the clouds are beginning to break apart and reveal a beautiful shade of sky blue. Maybe we can get some work done today.

Report: Wounds on Kurdish fighters support claims that Islamic State has used chemical weapons against Kurdish fighters in the battle for the City of Kobani on at least one occasion. it is believed Islamic State also used a chemical agent on Kurdish fighters in July. In that attack, (3) bodies of Kurdish fighters examined by Kurdish Authority Health Minister in Koban; Nisan Ahmed. His report showed the bodies were not hit by bullets or shrapnel, but were marked by "burns and white spots- without any visible wounds or external bleeding." He believed Mustard Gas was used. The Islamic State took control of the Muthanna Compound , 35-miles north west of Iraq. A CIA Report in 2007 stated this compound was used for the making and storage of chemical weapons-such as Mustard Gas. This would also suggest the Islamic State could possess stockpiles of chemical arms. ( Only 35-miles from border with Iraq, could have Iraq transferred its supplies of Weapons of Mass Destruction over paved roads this great distance when it knew American forces were coming in to search for these fiendish weapons. Syria and Iraq had agreements at that time. But for some reason the US Press avoided any mention of this CIA report in 2007, nor has there been much said about this current report of chemical weapons. But now that small time news reports are coming out, expect to see it eventually carried in the big boys press. It usually happens, but not always.)

These new guidelines aim to reflect new threats posed by China's military expansion and maritime ambitions, as well as respond to America's strategic "Re-balancing", toward Asia. North Korean nuclear missile development and the military use of Space and cyberspace will also be incorporated. While existing guidelines cover cooperation in such fields as information collection, monitoring, reconnaissance and facilities usage, these new ones will add protection of assets, such as American ships on guard against ballistic missiles, maritime security, mine removal in sea lane during a conflict, and air and missile defense. These guidelines were first created in 1978 to deal with possible attack by Soviet Union. 2nd revision was accomplished in 1997 to deal with possible hostilities on the Korean Peninsula. Now it is China and this threat continues to grow, added by Russia's moves and their alliance with China.
Communist Party-Run People's Daily Newspaper in China, has released a commentary, saying "The National Endowment for Democracy", a Washington D.C. -based nonprofit group, has become involved in Hong Kong's protests as part of a U.S. strategy to undermine foreign governments in the name of promoting democracy. They report this nonprofit group is largely funded by U.S. Congress. ( I have been unable so far to verify this claim against the U.S. Congress, but will continue to look for same. it may be funded by a group of Congressmen, rather than taxpayer money being used. But maybe tax funds are being used in propaganda war through our phys-ops programs. If so, i will find nothing. My top-security clearance went void a long time ago.)

China and Russia also carry out a currency swap, exchanging $150 billion yuan for Russia's $24.4 Billion in U.S. Dollars. ( Now it appears Russia will be using yuan, instead of Ruble to make their loan payments. It is anyone's guess, but noted, how long before Russians will be using the Ruble to pave the sidewalks with, or for wishing wells- a thousand rubles per wish).
Commercial Bank of China to sell yuan-denominated bonds in South Korea for the first time in a non-resident capacity. ( China continues such moves, the U.S. Dollar will only find some value within our borders all too rapidly. China new this when they first began loaning us money and they have waited. But fear is an all too uncertain of a thing. It may be a frightened U.S. President, weary of food riots and possible loss of control of his military, who pushes the button and launches the weapons to begin WWIII. This is a strange balance and who can keep all the balls in the air.)

There is reportedly another 500 of these institutes around the world. Some Professors are now urging schools to break away from the Chinese language and Cultural Nonprofit, charging it to be a "propaganda" arm of the Chinese Government. This year several profile schools; University of Chicago and Penn State jettisoned the program, but many campuses still have the institute. ( Maybe their curriculum should be observed by a neutral source, to see if it is a propaganda tool for the Chinese. It would be beneficial to learn the language, but not to fall in love with their form of government of where the whole in more important than the one.)
Earthquakes were busy in last 24 hours. (24) quakes of 4.0 or better. (9) quakes in Alaska and it appears Mt. Redoubt may be getting active again. (2) quakes in Indonesia, (5) quakes in New Guinea of 4.7 to 5.2. (8) quakes in California with five of them in Mammoth Lake area below Mammoth Mountain- which is a long dormant volcano. (6) more quakes in Oklahoma, which I imagine is leaving everyone guessing. ( long ago, there were many prophecies told, Mona and I were present for one such prophecy of where the United States would be split in half, right up the fault line beneath the Mississippi River. Same thing happened with Comet Kohoutek in 1973. It is still possible ISON has maintained its nucleus and even fragments the size of 100 meters or more. A watch is still on for ISON, but the priority right now is Comet Slide Spring, due for a flyby of Mars on October 19th, which could cover part of Mars with its tail. But where is Comet ISON now and is it still in the Solar System, possibly with earth as its final destination? ( I've always felt ISON was the comet I use in my book, but don't worry. Read the book.)

A rough cuty dirt road leads to the border, but the Chinese have already crossed. But, there isn't any formal agreement between the two countries to allow for same.
China is reported to be having a problem with HCV (Hepatitis C Virus) Its a growing steadily in recent years. China's Center for Disease Control- their version of our CDC, reports over 200,000 cases of newly infected people in 2013. A survey questionnaire showed that only 38% of the new patients had ever heard of the disease. The CDC estimates over 40 million HCV carriers in China. 10% to 30% of whom may develop live cirrhosis or even liver cancer without proper treatment within a timely manner.
No new Ebola statistics or added locations. I am now following Marburg and EV-D68. Plus two new mysterious diseases have shown up in the Southern USA. I will let you know when I have confirmation and not mere rumors. Too many frightened people
