Oh what a beautiful day here in Moose Pass. Our last snow hit us 4-days ago with maybe 2 inches, but then weather changed and our days run between 42 to a high of 55 and of course the puddles are forming. Now, as I've said before we've even had snow in June, that just comes with living in the mountains of Alaska, but when were in the low 40s it feel like spring is just about to arrive. The day it hit 55 degrees I took a brief walk outside with our dogs, oh it felt so good. We don't even have a fire lit today and that's nice.
It is amazing to read some of the stories being printed from around the world, makes me wish I could find some of the newsprint from the time of the Spanish Flu. So many people fear their various governments for overstating the dire need their country is in and how many military forces are being activated. Saw one photo of tanks being transported on rails in Lower 48. Make me sort of wonder what a tank can do to stop the virus or even artillery pieces. Remember, as I said before, the infamous Spanish Flu at the end of World War One, or 2018 accounted for 25 million deaths. Well, we are a far cry from that and our medicines are so much better.. One story I read was how the Small Pox Epidemic after the Civil War kills ALL the Indian Tribes. Appears they forgot to tell the Indians that. But, in fact the Small Pox was knowingly used against the Black Feet tribe, which was one of the largest tribes in the US. Infected blankets were left for the Black Feet to find and several thousand tribal members died. First known case of biological warfare and the US Army did that because they didn't have enough troops out west to deal with the war-like Black Feet who were fighting for their land.

I can only imagine the virus cases aboard the Aircraft Carrier will be rising as the huge boat is confining and I am waiting to read with how a canine caught this virus. Will that be spreading also, since Scientists said the virus would not attack animals. Will it get into our food chain?
A side note here on the charity of others: I was called by the Seward Senior Center to ask if we were in need of any food. I thanked them but declined and then I had a laugh about being call a senior. I guess I am. Mona was at the Safeway Store and a woman overheard her saying she was having a problem with the cash processing thingee at the cash register checkout. She asked my dear Mona if she could help her pay for the food. She had recently been blessed. Mona declined of course and the matter was straightened out after she call our bank. Her new bank card had the wrong expire date listed. Our old cards got frayed and all in order now. Just comes to show you how many nice people are out there. So, if you can, pass the blessing on.
