Middle of April, time is going by all too fast. About 8 or 9 days ago we had another snow storm, dropping about 6-8 inches here and now almost all of it is gone. A lot of greenery showing through, meaning a lot of dead leaves from last fall to rake up. Mosquitoes haven't shown up, but the Swallows haven't shown up yet either. I recall I called them sparrows, but in fact they are swallows. I enjoy watching them buzz around, chasing the bugs and then later, teaching the young ones how to fly.
Our temps have made it to the high 50's, which is why the snow has been melting so fast. May get some rain today, but I suspect we've seen the last of the snow until late fall.
We've recently seen a new move of the Lord in our family. A professional graphic artist in Georgia is now doing my covers. You will soon be seeing her creation of 2nd issue of "Apache Snow ", the first book. She is currently working on the cover for "Legend of Silene", while I finish the proof of the book, looking for minor errors done during the printing. I won't mention her name, but a dear friend of the family and a fellow Christian, is stepping up to support my work. I'm so grateful and this artist is really talented and also a Christian.
Mona has started teaching "Strategic Prayer" at church on Tuesday night. We, the Moose Pass Community Church are in the process of getting ready for summer. Susan, who is my editor, is having a great time taking photos from all over the valley for her current photo class. This is tied in with her degree program and I'm sure her eagle and mountain photos are a delight to her instructors. In a month or so the flowers will be in bloom. Plus, we haven't decided what we plan to grow outside this year.
All the kids, grandchildren and great-grandchildren are extremely active. We now have another young married couple who are living on the property, sharing the new house Patrick and Canaan built. They have the loft and are old friends with Patrick and Canaan, so it works out. We've talked about eventually building another 1-3 of these modular homes on the property, which go for $10,000 and then you finish the inside. They are 12' by 32' in size or a smaller one at $5,000 that is 12' by 16'. But, again you have to finish the inside. The structure comes with a metal roof and metal sidings, plus two doors and a window. They put larger windows into this one, provided by Susan, who had them in storage in Fairbanks. The hardest part on our land is meeting the legal requirements in staying away from our creek with any black water. Right now this one Canaan and Patrick have uses a compost toilet. We've used those before and had to go 18-months with a compost toilet in our current house. It does make great compost if you're a gardener. You mix it with saw dust, dead plants and other natural refuge. You can get black, rich soil out of it.
I had planned to add my normal news articles and though I have numerous one prepared, I'm just not in the mood today. I've been following the news of Sweden, Germany and France and I find it much disheartening as the citizens are turning their freedoms over to the fanatical Muslims, often only out of fear. Where in Sweden, hate speech can send you to jail or a fine, but it only covers speaking out against Islam. Nazism, fascism, anti-Semitic, these are not covered by this new law. In Germany the police are so far outnumbered by the Islamic gangs, they are now afraid to act. The judges and prosecutors reportedly fear for their lives, so they allow the spread of Sharia Law and courts.
In the UK, much the same is happening and the British are leaving their homes and handing the lands over to the Muslim fanatics.
I recall how Southeast Asia was 90% Buddhist and the Buddhist monks were peaceful. Now SE Asia is rapidly giving their lands over to the Muslims, outnumbering the Buddhists in so many countries. A returning Missionary who taught at our church happen to mention the Buddhist monks now go around armed with automatic weapons. The "Sword of Islam" once burned across North Africa, transforming Christian communities into Muslim. Either that or die. Even China estimates having over 8 million Muslims and growing steadily. Could Islam eventually become the one world religion the Word of God speaks of in Revelations. Christians will be forced to go underground or risk death, which is already happening in far too many countries.
An American, full-blooded from the USA, who went to Turkey as a missionary, was arrested following the failed coup. He's been in prison for 17-months without being charged. He has reportedly lost 60-pounds due to his mistreatment. Only recently was a 62-page charging document prepared for him, charging him with involvement to overthrow the Turkish government. His name is Pastor Andrew Brunson. His trial will begin today, but has America done anything to help him. This is the first I've heard of him and his plight, as he now faces 35-years to life in prison.
I have grown weary of the American and European media calling Islam the religion of peace. This is a farce. Women and girls reportedly as young as 9 yrs old, are kidnapped, victim of sex trafficking, rape, torture and murder. 1500 of these female victims are missing and still in ISIS captivity, these are Christian and Yazidi girls and women from Iraq and Syria, while some, part of another estimated 1,000 female victims, are being trafficked in Turkey. YET THE NATIONAL MEDIA DOES LITTLE TO REPORT ON IT! Yes, ISIS is still around.
I see very little being reported in the national media concerning fanatical Muslims teaching British and North European school children on how to become martyrs at a young age. Using federal funds to pay for 3300 teachers to instruct the young students on jihad. THIS IS NOT PEACE.
It appears to me, our US National Media, under the control of left wing democrats, is keeping the truth off the front pages, or even Page 14. Only when an violent act occurs, such as a terrorist attack, is the story carried. But , it is the fiery violence they report on, very little of the back story is made known.
The last three weekends of Gaza demonstrations is a prime example. The media carries the news of how many of the Palestinians are killed or wounded as they attempt to force themselves into Israel. Where is the backstory of Israel struggling to protect its land, to keep thousands of possible terrorists from being able to break into Israel.
What's going to happen when the people of Central America and the poor of Mexico attempt to force themselves into the USA. Will the US National Guard become the enemy as they stand ready to protect America. A lot of Cartel drug money is going into this, because they are about to lose hundreds of millions if not billions in drug money. Mexican politicians are frightened by the cartels, plus they're about to lose a lot of campaign funds or the money they needed for the building of their next swimming pool.
And, why is the Governor of Oregon showing his lack of support for the border, that he's not sending any of his National Guard to support the President. If President Trump federalized the guard, the Oregon governor wouldn't have much say in the matter. Plus, if I recall the Oregon border is some distance from Mexico. He simply wanted his 15 minutes in front of the news cameras.
I've got to go, I am babysitting my great-grandchildren for a bit.
