I did a lot of thinking on it and I have chosen Afghanistan for the area of this book. I've spent the last couple of days creating my lead and back-up characters. Primary character is Captain William Warrens Jr., Company Commander of B Company, 2nd Regiment, 187th Infantry Battalion, 101st Airborne Division (known as the Screaming Eagles. This unit was involved in both Book 1 & 2. Bill Warrens Senior, who fought in the battle for Hamburger Hill: the epic 11-day battle the 101st fought in Vietnam. In Book # 2, Bill Warrens Senior is a drunk, who, as a young lieutenant, believes he caused the death of his command. He now deals with a major form of PTSD in a Los Angeles VA Hospital. His Son is a senior in high school. But Bill Sr. had not caused the death of his command, in fact because of his heroic actions he saved the lives of 4 men, while under heavy fire and being wounded 3 times. But through a military snafu, the Medal of Honor, due to be awarded was never given. In the end of Book # 2, In Search of Honor, the Vice President of the United States, awards the Medal to Bill Senior, who will die a few days later due to organ failure. Bill Junior attends West Point and Graduates as a 2nd lieutenant. By special request, he is assigned to the 101st Airborne.
In Book #3, Bill Junior, a seasoned veteran is on his 3rd tour into the combat zone. His first tour was in Iraq, his 2nd tour was in Afghanistan and now on his 3rd tour, he's back in Afghanistan. He's married to Kitty before 1st tour. Two kids, Bill the 3rd and Alice. Bill Jr has 14 Combat jumps, with 10 of them by HELO (high altitude low opening) 30-35,000 feet to 500 foot opening. This was considered a good way to sneak up on the enemy without making any noise. Had it been me, they'd hear my screaming all the way down, well at least when I reached the point where I could breathe.
The unit will be home based out of Bagram Joint Operations Command. That's all for now. 35 characters created, will add more as they're introduced.
I'm not sure if he still reads this, but if he does, I wish to apologize to our son, Micheal (spelled that way on purpose) Henry Casselman ( He spells it Cassleman I think). I forgot his October birthday, he has turned 38 years old. We have not seen each other for 13 years, when the family brought him and his future wife up here for my 50th birthday. I just wanted to say I am sorry, it was a choice your mother and I made long-long ago. Happy Birthday!
Guess it's a good time to go to the news, which I haven't reported on for 4 days. So, I'd better edit it or you might be getting old stuff.
Gatestone Institute: In later-half of October, 2016, General Lord Richards, Former Chief of Defense Staff and the UK's most senior military officer made an extraordinary allegation- speaking on the BBC, he said elements of the British Establishment in Whitehall think their own soldiers are "Bad", and terrorists are "Freedom fighters". Lord Richards was talking about ongoing legal campaign against British troops who have fought in Iraq and Afghanistan- first time in history that any government has turned on its own armed forces in such a way. (Now, somewhat a study on military history, I tend to disagree with the General. First example would be the Roman council turning on its own legions, which would soon bring about the downfall of Rome. Now jump far ahead, we have Vietnam, where the Presidents and Congress turned on their own troops in Southeast Asia. Guns were being taken away from us, costing lives- the enemy was allowed to move through free-fire zones because we received orders not to shoot them and later they rocketed our base with the same rockets we spotted them with. List is long. No we did not win. I was part of the base closing for Danang Air Force Base, but the South Vietnamese were still locked in battle-all around us. 200 of the enemy, unarmed, were there to watch us board our plane, our names counted off by a North Vietnamese General- he was all smiles. We lost that war. Kennedy knew we should leave there and was about to pull out his advisors when he flew to Dallas. Timing is a funny thing.
Washington Free Beacon: An Iranian-American graduate student was detained in Tehran since July, was just sentenced a week ago to 18-years in prison, in the latest dual national to be imprisoned by the Islamic Republic since Iran's Nuclear deal was signed and implemented. (So, we paid all that money for 6 or 7 hostages, how much for these two. Dual nationals warned not to go over to Iran, but they have family, business and churches. How long will we play the game?
* The Obama Administration is forging a pathway for Iran to purchase American-made Airliners that are likely to be converted for use by the Islamic Republic's military, drawing concerns from capitol hill amid flurry of recent attacks by Iranian-back forces on U.S. Military assets in the Middle East. ( Can you imagine 15 airliners heading our way, each armed with nuclear missile, and bombs. How many targets could they hit before we knocked them down?)
China Globe-India: Historic Indian Mosque agrees to lift ban on women entering its inner sanctum, after a bitter legal battle about the restriction of women in the deeply religious country.
Spiegel: Germany- German authorities now concerned that an anti-government group- known as "Reichsburger" (No it is not a hamburger), may be radicalizing and this group rejects the legitimacy of the German Government and has caused a series of violent encounters. ( Germany is seriously having a bad time with its locals and visitors alike.)
Thai Nation Media News: Radioactive leak at Norway Reactor Institute for Energy Technology in Halden, Norway. Due to a technical failure, regarded as a small leak on October 10th, they closed their only two reactors due to economic reasons. ( Leak occurred on the 10th, but surfaced in the news on 10/30/16).

Moscow Times: Russia's Federal Bailiff Service has banned one million Russian citizens from traveling abroad for failure to pay their debts. 1.6 million decisions to restrict debtors from leaving Russian Federation , is 50.3% more than last year. Russia finds the travel ban an incentive for one to repay their debts. While at the same time 25,000 foreign citizens and stateless individuals were forcibly deported from Russia.
Senior White House Officials blocked the U.S. Navy from conducting needed Freedom of Navigation Operations in South China Sea amid growing concerns that China is militarizing newly reclaimed islands. ( Traveling in International waters, now we kowtow to China and show our backside. Just how long before the White House will surrender the Santa Barbra Islands off of California? Maybe Kodiak Island or Little Diomede. We let them build those islands, they're not natural and we watched as they put their weapons on them, including runways. )
Telegraph-UK: Germany's renowned ULM Minister, tallest church on the planet is steadily eroding. The cause, passers-by who continue to relieve themselves on its ancient walls. Church is at risk due to the acids and salts in the urine causing the damage. (A real showing of disrespect to another's belief. Can you imagine the uproar had a group of Jews or Christians, or Atheists, or Muslims did this to one of their houses of worship? I think this church should hire guards, with big dogs.
Global Times: Polish Government passes Territorial Defense Bill to Create a Territorial Defense Force as a separate National Guard.- Police Press Agency.
Telegraph News-Germany: Russia unveils their new "Satan 2" Missile, powerful enough to "Wipe out UK, France or Texas" A Thermonuclear -armed Ballistic Missile, the RS-28 Saramat was commissioned back in 2011 and expected to come into service in 2018 (Which like means it was put aboard Russian assigned vessels this year. ) The blast would be 2,000 times more powerful than the bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Missile weighs 10- tons and most of this weight is the payload it carries. (Satan is a good name for it).
Russia reportedly beefing up Baltic Fleet by upgrading the fire power on the new warships with long range cruise missiles to counter NATO.

Gatestone Institute: In 2016, Prime Minister Trudeau chose not observe any official 9/11 memorial ceremony for the Canadians killed in New York City. However, the very next day, he attended the Ottawa Main Mosque, which has multiple links to extremism.
Muslims in Quebec have sent forward an official Petition to the House of Commons- Calling Upon The Canadian Government to Condemn All Forms of Islamophobia. (There is no such separation in Canadian Law for Jew, Christian or Atheist- why should Muslim be highlighted and how long before we will see that before our congress. Muslims have found South America, Latin America, Mexico to grab a foothold due to the Catholic Religion and Native Indian Religions. But imagine a strong Muslim world spread out over the north of us in Canada?)
Finish Member of Parliament charged with "Instigation Against an Ethnic Group", for spouting "hate speech" against Muslims. Norway, Finland, several other northern European countries are fighting back against Muslim takeover of their land. With allowing so many of the migrants into Europe, the European Union is slowly being converted into the European Empire of the Muslims. Now, its the Germans who are fleeing and those of the other countries.
There was millions of acres their Muslims brothers could've given them, but this was all part of an elaborate plan, using our Christian beliefs, our charity and love, even though the Bible warns us of such people who would come and take what we have. Will God save us? Only He knows this. I only wonder how many of us will fall to war, disease and starvation, before He decides He's had enough. A lot of His lessons have been hard ones, some short and some extremely lengthy. But He is God and thankfully, I'm not.
God Bless, BILL
