Hello. This is one of those cloudy/sunny days and where something or someone is jamming up my computer and TV. I really dislike this when it happens. But, when I put my TV on music mode and listen to soft rock, no problem. I had been watching a morning movie on Netflix and every ten seconds the movie jammed for five seconds or more. Frustrating.
I finished my first draft for "The Rookie" last night and now I will do a once over before handing it over to Susan for her editing. I've wanted to tell this story for a very long time and it felt good to get some of the real events out for others to read about and possibly just out of my system. I use 5 fictitious men to represent the 5 members of the Dillingham Police Department. I also use about 80% of my old cases, but also with fictitious names. But the serious events actually happened. It was an exciting town to break-in a Rookie officer and I learned a lot. This is the first book in a series of 5 books based on my career.
As most of you know, "In Search of Honor", Book 2 of the Apache Snow series in now out and I am currently doing research for the 3rd book.
"Blake's War", the first book in the Arizona Ranger series should be ready before Christmas, at least this is my hope.
But enough commercials. Have any of you been noticing the amount of earthquakes we've been getting hit by lately? Most of them register between 4.2 to 7.3 and they're all around the globe, circling the equator. Now it may not mean anything, but the last 3 North Korean Nuke tests might have caused a problem. Just curious.

United States: Washington Free Beacon- This is a back-up story to an earlier report I did in reference to the internet being handed off to world control in 2017. The International carrier is known as ICANN. In this report by the Beacon, a congressional source has stated "This is not the kind of organization the American people should feel confident in protecting their interests and protecting freedom on the internet." The article also repeated that World control through ICANN is to take over in 2017. But the report says ICANN has been linked to the transfer of U.S. technology to Iran, has worked with North Korea, and suspected of ordering "Murder for Hire.
United States: Washington Free Beacon- Obama plans to boost the number of refugees America is receiving by another 30%, and is planning to spend $4.6 million on the refugees "Emotional wellness".
China: Beijing Globe- China and Russia are starting a joint navy drills in South China Sea, which has other countries in the area on high alert.
China: Beijing Globe- Chine to become "First trillion -dollar market! Boing, a manufacturer, plans to build 6,810 planes for China over next 20-years.
United States: A new US Treaty with the Philippines is moving forward and expected to be "rock solid".
China: Beijing Globe- Chinese Air Force has sent multiple military aircraft to the West Pacific for routine combat simulation drills.
China: Globe Times- China Army is seeking to further enhance relations with Myanmar (Burma) Army.
China: Globe Times - China and Britain vow to deepen military exchanges to tap their huge potential.
Zimbabwe: Globe Times- The Government paid out $43 million dollars to former white commercial farmers who lost their land during the country's on-going land reform program. ( Report is the White's were evicted).
Germany: Spiegel International- Britain's departure is likely to cost the European Union billions of dollars. This is especially so for Germany. With so many refugees in Germany it is expected to slow down the tourist trade.
Philippines: Manila Times- President Duterte said he is considering buying military equipment from China and Russia, vowing to modernize his armed forces. He wants to be less dependent on the United States.
Taiwan: China Global Times- Typhoon Meranti has triggered 17- meter record high waves that swept across the seas off the coast of Taiwan. ( we're talking about 50-feet here. I've been in 40 foot seas and believe me I was scared to death. I was also green and filling the captain's trash can with my breakfast. I was aboard a U.S. Coast Guard cutter and most of you have already heard this story.)
China: Global Times- China is now working with Peru to enhance cooperation and for success of the upcoming Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leader's Meeting.
Egypt: Global Times- Egypt says the United States is accountable for rampant global terrorism - on 9-11
European Union- Global Times- Report that the European Union is ready to launch their new Border Patrol and Coast Guard in mid-October., which was ratified by the European Union Member States. But it is unknown how this knew federalized force will possibly conflict with NATO Laws and how such matters will be handled.
Russia: Russian Herald- Russia to hold strategic military "drills" in 2017 in the country's western states, ( Such states also border with EU states).
Australia: Australia News- A new law has been passed that allows for children as young as 14 to be charged as adults under new Counter-Terror Laws. But if found guilty they would not be jailed with the older convicts until they reached the age of 18-years old.
United States: Washington Free Beacon- "The leaders of four military services said Thursday that their forces will not be able to defend America if sequestration continues." Current defense budget is more than $150 Billion less than it was in the fiscal year 2011. The Marine Corps Commandant stated: " I believe we are now pushing risk in the long- term health of the force into the future."
United States: Free Beacon- "11 states now have ' Constitutional carry'. Missouri Legislature has just overridden Democratic Gov. Jay Nixon's Veto of "Permit-less Gun Carry" ( Seems more and more people desire their 2nd Amendment Rights and I pity the Congress that elects to take it away. As a former police officer I carried a pistol around, but I decided recently that with all the medication I am taking, I should not have a weapon on me and nor should I be driving. So, I surrendered my driver's license and my sidearm is in my room. Now I've learned that with medical marijuana I cannot purchase a firearm. I can accept that. I they finally come up with an oil to relieve my pain, I'm liable to be stoned and that's no time to be behind the wheel of a car or aiming my Glock at Disney characters. know a lo who should surrender their licenses because of meds. Now she isn't one of them, but for now my darling wife is my protector and my driver. But if the Chinese hordes come up my driveway, it's blasting time.)
Anyway, life goes on here. The boys got on the roof and scraped all the moss off and hopefully the tar they added will stop the leaks. I was able to order a couple movies I've wanted foe a very long...long time. They were always unavailable for about 15 years. I'm looking forward to receiving therm. Old classics..
