Now some of you have already heard this story, but I felt I should share it again in the journal. A few days ago, my Grandson Patrick, his 3 year old son Solomon, and one of Patrick's friends- Kyle, were out enjoying the nice day and pulling Solomon around in our sled. They had gone down on the snow covered lake the day before without mishap and thought they'd cross the lake again. But, the lake ice cracked right under the feet and the water was deep. Patrick went in first, over his head, then his son-Solomon. Patrick was struggling to hold Solomon up, but the boy was under water. Kyle dove into the water, helped get Solomon out onto the ice and then turned to help get get Patrick onto the ice. Patrick then told to get Solomon back to our house ASAP. As you expect, the 3 year old was icy and frightened. It was a half-mile run to our home and tough on a frozen young man. Patrick followed as soon as he had strength and all three made it back, where they were warmed up. If Kyle had not been there, or had he also fallen through the ice, things might have ended up differently. But, God's miracle provided everyone with a warm feeling of care. I thanked Kyle for his act of courage and in saving my great-grandson and Patrick. Patrick had also performed bravely and me, I was in my warm bed I shook Kyle's hand and told him that in the future some lunkhead will tell him he should left the boy and his father on the ice and run for help. But, he had truly done the right thing by getting Solomon to where he could be warmed up. Icy cold is never to be messed with, especially with youngsters. But being the old man of the house, I also informed them they had no business being out on the lake this time of year, as warm springs are now flowing into the lake waters. In my life I've noticed that God often helps the stupid ones, including myself.
Susan Smith, my editor and I worked on the new cover for "Legend of Silene". We found quite a few pieces of artwork we'd liked to have used, but they have copyrights and the artist, company or law firm wants a good sum of money to use them. Found lots of paintings where a knight is fighting this scrawny crocodile-size dragon, but my story has a beast that stands 50-feet high. This is my first attempt at writing a youth-novel with a mixture of fantasy and sci-fi. Now waiting to see what the publisher thinks of it. Currently, I'm doing my editing of "Badge and the Cross- Book 3," Name may be changed. This is a story of terrorists in Alaska and the Federal Officer working undercover to bust the organization that has come into possession of a 40-year old Russian A-bomb. The terrorist was hold a large group of hostages during a military 4th of July celebration and cause a 2nd voting involving Alaska's statehood. It seems there is ample evidence to show the 1959 Statehood election was illegal. I go into in depth in my book.
Last night at church we had a visiting pastor provide us with a slideshow of his visit overseas to teach. What I wanted to say I do not believe will compromise his concerns and why notes were not passed out. But once his slide show was done and church was over he showed a single slide from Cambodia. It was a slide showing the stone sculpture, a flat one where the subject animal was carved into a large flat stone. Supposedly, this sculpture was carved at around 1,000 A.D. and the subject was a Stegosaurus- dinosaur. Now the question was, how was the dinosaur shown in such detail? The artist had to have seen either such a well-preserved specialism or the real thing was still wandering about at 1,000 A.D. in Cambodia. From my memory of the area, there are no tar pits, such as the ones in California that still spit up such well-preserved critters. Made us think. But, I can say the artist was quite talented. One will usually find carved elephants of varying sizes, as they are held sacred in this area of Southeast Alaska. Just a thought.
Kids are just hours away from completion of their new house and Mona and I are real proud of the work they've one on this. Someday we might have 2-3 new homes of similar style put on the property, allowing family and friends to live here as needed. Patrick and Canaan are a major help around here. Canaan works hard to make sure I'm fed, while Patrick handles firewood and other chores. Solomon is one of our alarm clocks right now, he likes to have us awake when he is. As for Segen, the one year old, she sits around looking cute. She has only recently started walking. I got 14-steps from her the other night, but of course I was the only one to see it.

GATESTONE INSTITUTE NEWS: "Palestinian Christian Theologians Against Israel: State "In the Qur'on,( or Quron or even Koran), Jesus is regarded not as a God or Son of God, but as a prophet inferior to Muhammad. The Qur'on is emphatic in saying Jesus was not crucified, but that someone else was substituted for him ( Please remember, this is what so-called Christian in Palestine are speaking about), Therefore, they say Christ did not die to save mankind. This salvation is reserved only for those who believe of the Prophet Muhammad . (Muhammad was, in fact born and ministered to his masses 700-years after Lord Jesus had arisen from the grave. It also appears from these writings, that at least some of the Palestinian Christians believe in the Quron and even prefer to join with the Muslim Resistance.) Some of these Palestinian Christians are now preaching , "The two religions have more in common than the people think."

That's all for now. Except I wish to remind you all, how Europe slept as Adolph Hitler began to spread his hatred in 1933 and by 1939 he was in charge of Germany. Shortly afterward he invaded Poland and launched Europe's part of World War II. Now, long after the man is dead, his hatred still spreads across Greece, into Italy, up into France and parts of Spain. The neo-Nazi movement is upon us, now marching arm and arm with the KKK. Our courts, some of our police departments and even state governments have become corrupt. Honest cops, state workers, city people and firemen, correctional officers and the men and women manning the defense of our borders witness the corruption and are now left with a decision to either resign or speak out and be fired. It is not an easy thing to do when you have family you're responsible for. I took on one such major corruption case so long ago, but I had the Lord in my corner. The Lord was always in my corner. I'm just spouting off now, but please, wake-up!!! Our world, it is sick and we, the caregivers are asleep at the wheel. We need an army of prayer, not a lots of fatalists. For while we are awaiting the arrival of the two witnesses, think about what you can lose by not taking the needed action.
Good night and may the Lord bless you and your family BILL
