A cold, foggy morning, with a dashing of permafrost on the mountain tops. Still, the flying dragons, numbering in the thousands, persist to bite and ruin a good day. One would think the cold nights and early mornings would destroy these pests, but not yet.
The longer I sit at my desk, the more I notice how I've transformed this area into my own personal museum. I have glasses and mugs bearing the art work of various Moose Pass Festivals, old photos of me from my career days, police toys, my published books(framed covers), assorted figurines gifts from family and from my lovely wife and photos of my family. On the wall in front of me are 8x10 copies of western figures I used to help me write my Arizona Rangers series, and to the wall on my left is our DVD collection, with the front of the shelves holding miniature cartoon characters. So, this is my desk area and believe me, it helps stir my imagination when I am writing.
I believe I have spoken of the 40-pax yellow school bus we were given, now used for storage. Here our overflow of books find a dry place, Christmas stuff and now my police toy collection. I have an estimated 1,000 to 1,100 police cars, figurines, stuffed police critters, cups and glasses, some patches ( I gave most of my patches away some time ago),police hats. But mostly its toy cars and figures. We moved them into the bus this last month.
We were blessed yesterday when a dear brother and sister from church brought us a chord of wood, mostly split and very dry spruce. He also brought his chain saw and cut up another cord of rounds I've had since last year . So, tis gives me 2-chords of wood to start the season off with. Now I just need another 8 chords to make it through to May. Wood smells better than fuel oil, is cheaper and makes for great exercise.
Had a beautiful 800 to 900lb cow moose, she was big, go through our front yard and we are hoping she is the grown up calf that left here three years ago. We used to have a new calf being born in our backyard every year and then it stopped. The big bulls have been plentiful this year, but they seemed to know the ending of hunting season. Black bears have also increased in number down here on the Kenai Peninsula. The State may need to have a sow season for one year to keep control of their numbers.
I'm going to once more make an attempt to send you some interesting news, but it may be the last for awhile. Yahoo is being monitored by the feds and I am not sure I want them to know who and what resources I am reading. I'd really hate for them to come to my house a come face-to-face with my 5 ankle-biters.

China Globe: Japan announced it will refuse to further console Korean "Comfort Women" victims with letters of apology. Comfort women were kidnapped by the Japanese Army and forced to work in Military brothels. Many of them died there.

Russian Herald- Christian Pastor Donald Ossewaarde, 55 years old, is one of the first American Citizens to be charged under Russia's Anti-Religious Provisions of Russia's new Anti-Terror Laws. The law is called "Varovaya", which carries a provision against evangelism. He is still due in court , but has already paid a fine of $633.00.

Gatestone Institute: German report- 1,500 "known" child marriages, with under age brides now living in Germany. 361 of child-brides are under the age of 14, while many other child marriages believed to be concealed. In May, 2016 an appeals court in Bamberg, Germany recognized the marriage of a 15-year old Syrian girl to her 21-year old cousin. This ruling effectively legalized Sharia Law Child Marriages in Germany.
China Globe: China and Southeast Asia Nations jointly work together to fight crime on the Mekong River, which is a major trade route for the ASEAN Nations. ( This is yet one more step forward transform ASEAN into a military force led by China- As I wrote about in "A Coming Storm". Where China will lead a 10-country Asian force across the Bering Strait Ice Bridge to invade Alaska. Strange, I got the idea for this book nearly 20-years ago. I find it quite bizarre to see my dreams/prophecies coming into play.
