OK, from right off, I'm going through a three-month medicine weening of one of my drugs and I'm already feeling the effects. So, you might see some mistakes in my writing. Though I am trying to check myself. I am already finding the effects of this as process to be trying. Enough on that.
We have gone through a cold spill and are now in a warming time, including about 4-6 inches of fluffy snow. Today it's in the 20's, not a cloud in the sky. I actually set down here to see if I could still type and I must say it is a bit weird. Thankfully, I finished my latest story and have handed it of to Susan for editing. Yes, that was "Stronghold", my story on Skagway. Normally I take about a 2-week break before hitting another book. I have the third book in the Arizona Rangers Series, with the next book entitled, "Geronimo", or the next book in the "Badge and the Cross" series, entitled "Political Action".
"Political Action" is not based on my career, but complete fiction, where Alaskan terrorists,former militiaman, now in possession of an A-bomb, hold 500 Alaskans hostages at the Eielson Air Force Base during the 4th of July Celebration and Thunderbird pilots. Their goal is to have the United Nations force the State of Alaska into a second vote for statehood. They provide proof the first election was completely illegal and how the US had violated its promises.and soon have the news on their side. A FBI undercover officer is also one of the terrorists, waiting for his chance to disarm the A-bomb. I completed the first draft and now I need to go over it before sending it to Susan for final editing. I also have a 4th book where I have French terrorists attacking Montreal area and now travel to Alaska to kidnap the Canadian Prime Minister, who is visiting the Alaskan Governor and both are traveling on the Alaskan Train from Fairbanks to Anchorage. The terrorists seize the train, which is actually easy to do, and remove the politicians and take their hostages to a remote cabin. Alaska Special Tactics Team is en-route. But also, there are three men en-route to free the hostage and the stories of the three men make the story. One man is an ex-pastor, now a hunting guide, the 2nd man is a former RCMP Captain's who wife and two boys were murdered by these terrorists, and the third man is a former Alaska State Trooper lieutenant, now Alaska Railroad investigator, who is told his services are unneeded, by the man who took his wife away from him. These three now travel to this remote cabin based on their own needs, and they hope to beat the Alaska State Troopers Tactics' Team. This story is also finished in the rough draft form.
I have also draft out the 4th book in the Arizona Ranger's Story, where Blake and his close friends travel to California to receive his much older daughter, who is being rescued in Hawaii by a church Pastor and put aboard a ship. Along the way the Rangers are taken prisoner by Indian led by a giant half-Indian/Half White Chief and Blake enters into a relationship with the Chief's mother. Next book in the series will be called "Gunfighters". Not sure on the title for this journey west, yet.
Okay, Folks, I'm going to end this here. Just wanted to check in with all of you and keep you up to date with my book. But, take a couple weeks off is usual for me between book. "Legend of Silene" should be out on Amazon right after I proof the cover and the publisher's set up on the completed book. This happens anytime now. This is good adventure read and I hope all of you will enjoy it.
