Fire broke out further up the Parks Highway near Sheep Creek, north of the Turn Off for . Over 50 structures lost, no report on injuries. Fire is spreading north and Parks Highway having long closures as the fire jumped over the road.
There are other smaller fires reported, but much smaller in size.
Medium to heavy winds hitting us here in Moose Pass, but no fires.
We haven't had a bad summer for fires in several years. This morning temps were back down to 50 degrees but by 2 o'clock it was mid-80s.
So please pray for all the homeowners, campers and people driving up the road to Fairbanks. No serious injuries or deaths reported that I know of. But the woods are so dry.
God Bless, BILL
