Oh, yesterday I was trying to recall the name of the movie where the American warships exchanges nuclear missiles with a Russian submarine. I had to look it up, suspecting my old VHS copy was with that box of tapes damaged in the basement flood. Drum roll here... the movie was "The Bedford Incident". Was driving me crazy as I tried to remember it. But Mona gave me the site to locate it. Even then it took me a bit because only through checks of the third actor did I find the movie. The main star and co-star who played the young officer, did not have the movie in their listings. Though stressful, I thought it a good movie.
Pastor Eric was teaching today, its his week off from working as a correctional officer at Alaska's maximum security prison, and he is taking us through the Book of Revelation, chapter by chapter and providing supporting scripture from Old Testament. This is the best teaching I've had on this Book. As I've said before, being a history nut, he brings the events of that time alive and really gets in depth with what each line can mean. Wish you were here to listen in and sadly, no recording machines. Cool stuff beginning to happen that "Might" have some reference to the first part of the Book of Revelation.
What really concerns me is the anti-Semitic mood and acts of aggression pushing Jews out of Arabic countries to move across the EU, now including Britain. With all our education on the Holocaust, this vileness moves across the United States. We might, just might, in my lifetime or that of my grandchildren, will see the glorious arrival of the Biblical Two Witnesses in Jerusalem. But not only anti-Semitic, in our country our Constitution allows for Freedom of Religion and other great rights and it would be wrong to tamper with it. Still we have Communist China setting up so-called Cultural Centers in our colleges, while fraternities push Russian Communism. But across the world, Christian churches and synagogues are being destroyed all over Arabia, pastors/priests & nuns/pastors of various churches imprisoned or murdered, Muslims build their Mosques in our cities. They know our laws allow for this. True, its estimated that only 5% of Muslims are radicalized, but even for those 5% we do not destroy their houses of worship, raid their homes at night and kidnap their religious, or community leaders. Yet by some appearances the American Jew or new arrivals of the Jewish faith, are being driven from the East Coast, as acts of harassment and physical assault increase in schools and colleges, on public streets. Fascism is on the rise and far too many Americans turn a deaf ear to it. Look who we might be stuck with deciding for our next US President. Yup, it might be the people needed to lead us down in to the events promised in the Book of Revelation. Next 10-years could prove to be mighty interesting.
Let's hit the news highlights for 3/6/16
Gatestone- Finland's Immigration Crisis: Tapanila gang-rape shocked quiet Helsinki suburb, with many wondering why these 2nd generation Somalis, citizens of Finland, carried out this savage act. One young man was sentenced to only 16-months in prison, while two young men were sentenced to 12-months and two young men were acquitted. Penalties were softened due to their age, but story failed to provide same. Finland reported 1,010 rapes in 2014, suspected immigrants in these cases were 3 times higher to suspected native citizens.
Japan Times-Columbia: "Columbia National Health Industry reports 47,700 cases of the Zika virus," which includes 8,890 being pregnant women infected. ( Just curious, but I wonder if any number cruncher is doing a study involving the Zika Virus and how long it would take it to wipe out humanity, with reported birth defects and abortions. I know they did this for some of the other viruses in the past in an attempt to get a jump on things and create a war planning for same. Polio was one such virus when they thought it might go worldwide and they couldn't find a cure. But two Muslim countries wouldn't take the cure and after some 30 years a new polio virus has returned and the old cure doesn't work.
New York Times- South Korea: "South Korea's government accused of using defamation laws to silence critics." These laws can carry a penalty of up to 7 laws in prison, even for comments found to be true, if they are deemed not to be in the public's interest.
Jerusalem Post- Poland: Prominent Princeton History Professor Jan Tomaz Gross, a Polish-American, whose work highlights the role some Poles played in the Holocaust, said, "The current regime in Poland is Nationalist, Xenophobic, and Authoritarian." He reported through new educational reforms, the government plans to downplay the country's role in the Holocaust, rewriting their history books , to "whitewash" the event. The Professor also reports the Polish Prosecutor's Office has been urged to investigate him for "Slander the Polish Nation", for his teachings and speaking events around the Poland and Europe . ( This sounds as if the current Poland Government may possibly have a majority of anti-Semitics, who now wish to use their power to bury the very existence of the Holocaust, and/or what happened in Warsaw and the Polish death camps, where millions of Jews were killed.)
Global Times- Greece: Europe's Migration Commissioner warns the Greek government on how it could expect an additional 100,000 immigrants during the month of March. Still, Greek's border was Macedonia remains closed by wire fences, enforced by troops armed with tear gas.
Global Times- India: "Honor Killings" continue in India- two brothers burned their sister to death for marrying a man from a different "caste".
Telegraph News Service- Britain: England's Labour Party has been accused of failing to take anti-Semitic complaints serious and said to have a suppressed investigation published. The Labour Party ( This is similar to America's political parties- Republican and Democrat) anti-Semitism row threatens to divide the party. Original investigation into harassment of Jewish Students at Oxford University were not published, but supposedly held back to be released "within a new, wider inquiry that involves, unrelated complaints." Other member leaders now demand for the investigation to be released now, in "the interests of transparency", and to "demonstrate beyond all doubt the seriousness with which we take these allegations."
Telegraph New Service- Germany: German atheist runs afoul of country's rarely enforced blasphemy laws after he was fined 500 marks for driving around with anti-Christian slogans on his car. ( Oddly enough there are no such laws for anti-Jewish, anti- Muslim or other religions. Weird huh?)
RT News-Russia: "Record-breaking Arctic Ocean Ice Dive". Russian team plunges 102 meters in subzero waters of the White Sea, using new Russian made diving equipment. " Our US Submarines should be wary of these new diver suits, as such may escape our sonar and possibly be used to plant more than Russian flags about the sea floor.)
RT News-Turkey: Report that Syria jihadists are shelling Turkish positions in hopes to provoke a response, that could lead Turkish ground forces into invading Syria and breaking the cease-fire.
RT News-Britain: British Politician Michael Gove, who is campaigning for a British exit from the European Union, says European Bloc is damaging Britain's safety, and Brussels is helping to fuel the worst rise of fascism since 1930s with increasing number of "Hitler Worshipers" in Europe.
READ THESE TWO-PLEASE
Central Asia Times: "US Presence Helping Asian Insurgencies." As war in Afghanistan is becoming a mop up operation as reported by Central Asia Times, the US has stepped up its troop deployments in the region. Russia and China reportedly fear this to be an effort to secure influence over their backyards, a region rich in oil and gas reserves.
Manila Times- Afghanistan: "Afghan retreat stokes instabilities fears." Overstretched Afghan Forces pulling back from "violent districts" with putting up a little fight and ceding key territory to a new resurgent force of Taliban. This "Strategic Retreat" has stoked fear and government control is reported to be slipping. ( One story comes from a free press in the Philippines and the other in a former Soviet satellite, but it sounds like these two reporters went to very different countries and talked with different armies.)
Thailand News-Greece: Greek Governor of Central Macedonia province wants to declare a State of Emergency for the thousands of migrants stranded in this region by closed borders. ( Sooner or later, the masses will charge the wires by the thousands and this will turn into mass killings. But people become hungry and men grow weary of seeing their children hungry and in need of health care. They will risk death for such, a chance to make it into Europe and the promises of a bright future.)
This migrant issue makes me wonder what I might do had I left Syria and with my family escaped to Greece or Europe. If you think about it, there are enough migrant to force a takeover of some of the European countries. Just a thought. Dinner is on me tonight, so that's all my dear family and friends. I'm making loaded hamburgers. God Bless-Bill
