I'm sure that most of you are following the protests going on around the world, which could lead to some dangerous results as these protests could lead into actual wars. Some of you oldsters like myself can recall Gandhi's protest that nearly toppled the British Empire's hold in India. Few people realize that earlier on, Gandhi was a violent terrorist, but came to realize this wasn't working and tried an opposite move. Now the Chinese military is contemplating moving into Hong Kong, and very possibly Taiwan, which could very easily move the US to act as we are supposed to be Taiwan's alley. But we were supposed to be the Kurd's alley also. Though we abandoned the Kurds, we apparently moved back a limited military force to guard the areas oil wells. That shows to the world where our priorities are, oil over people. We've lost a lot of international support with this move. Its making our allies wonder if we'd actually support them when push come to shove. Japan has lost hope in us and they are having a serious problem with South Korea- both countries supposed to be our allies. Except for Australia, I doubt we have any true allies left in that part of the world. China is winning a lot of countries over with some of the recent moves we've made. Makes me wonder how long it will take until the USA is standing alone. We now have counties and cities in the USA seriously considering allowing Sharia Law-(Muslim Law ) into the USA. When Utah tried this long ago, hoping to secede from the US, the President sent troops into stop the Mormons from becoming their own country. They had already produced their own money, which I saw on display in Salt Lake City. Mexico once tried to seize control of New Mexico, which included Arizona at the time, and California. But American forces put a stop to that. I had noticed that some of these revolts are not even taught in high school anymore. Until I did research for a book I didn't realize that Arizona was just a part of New Mexico for a long time.
I was going to do my list of Headlines, but by now I'm sure you've already heard everything anyway.
Weather here in Moose Pass has been wet and windy, but snow level still up in the foothills. I expect to see snow on the ground when I wake up, but temperatures down here in the pass have been above freezing. Chris has been getting a lot of work down getting the barn ceiling put on, with some help of John Alex and Liam. I'm not much help, but I can admire his work. Trying to get a lot of outside junk undercover before snow, get some more wood cut up and get our pantry filled for winter.
Before going into one of my new books I'm re-doing "Apache Snow- Book 3 The Sandbox Wars". My editor handed it back to me as she found it somewhat boring, with too much military stuff that non-military buffs might not enjoy. So I am giving it a thorough going over. Made a couple hundred changes already and I'm still in Chapter three. I'm looking for a comfortable chair to sit in while working at my desk. Tried three chairs so far, but I'm still a bit uncomfortable. Thought to use my giant recliner that Troy gave me, its down in the living room. But it is too big for my office. So I will continue to look around the thrift stores. New chairs are simply too expensive. I use three pillows in my current chair, but it only last so long. Be good to your back or it might not like you for the rest of your life. Playing football in high school started mine off according to the docs, then all my years of wrestling down jerks as a police officer. You'd think a guy, or even a woman would think twice of taking me on, but booze and drugs tends to make these lunkheads brave.
Brady, Micah Sue and the kids surprised us Sunday night. We haven't seen them in over a year, kids have sure grown. Lucas is almost a twin of his mother when she was that young. Bella Sue is getting tall, will probably be like her daddy and touch 6 feet or more. Nice visit.
All for now. I pray that all of you are doing well and that the Good Lord blesses you all. BILL
