Hello Everyone: At 5:50 p.m., it is pitch dark outside here, with temperatures in the high teens to low twenties. Clear skies, so no snow for last couple of days.
Veteran's Day for 2018 has come and gone, but I wished to say a salute to all those men and women who have served our country, or continue to serve. Sadly, so many of our family members and friends have given their lives for our country's freedom, the highest gift to be given for one's country. Personally, I think of all my family members who serve or have served this beloved land of ours. My grandfather served in the U.S. Navy, while my father at 17 began his enlistment with the U.S. Army and was in the lead unit sent in to Korea for the Korean War. Vietnam was my war and enough said on that. I had many dear friends in Vietnam: Mike, Frank and Chuck, Deek...for a few. My beloved wife served with me in the Air Force and this is of course when the Lord brought us together at Eielson AFB, Alaska. My dear Cousin William served with the U.S. Coast Guard for a lengthy period and retired. Then came the children, with John Leroy serving 3 yrs in Afghanistan, John Alex serving in the drug wars and elsewhere in the U.S. Army. Former son-in-law Jeremy, who served with the U.S. Army and was highly decorated for valor, Son-in-law Brady, who served in the Middle East as a national guardsman and active duty Army. Son-James Arthur Lee, now serving as a U.S. Air Force Captain and only recently returned from Qatar, with a prior assignment to Afghanistan. Joshua Troy, our youngest son, who served in the U.S. Army and spent a tour in Iraq. My nephew Gabe who served with the Air Force, and his father, Troy did his tour in Vietnam with the Navy. Now I know there is more as a couple of Mona's brothers are veterans, but my old memory isn't what it used to be.
I pray the men and women who come home from the danger zones are welcomed homes as heroes, for this is what they are. I wish that not one of our returning veterans feel their countrymen's wrath as we did coming home from Nam. We had no parades, very few well wishes and so many insults that still haunt us.
No, Veteran's Day truly needs to be honored every year, just as we must honor our military members and the civilians who support them in keeping our country safe. THANK YOU to all of you.
Book Report: Just a note. I've recently sent a new book to my publisher and I am in the process of sending another book to him. Now this gives me time to begin MY final editing on the 13-book saga entitled "Fire and Ice". I've told you about this series and tonight I was finishing up on Chapter 2 of Book One. I used the Word of God- "Zondervan's New International Version" for my reference material for this series. It is amazing how many changes I find myself making, but only in the fictional side. When I reference the WORD, I make sure to copy the verses correctly. It is set in the very near future, but please remember I originally wrote this book over 20 years ago, and published as a single story- "A Coming Storm". However, I've added hundreds of mini-stories and many of the events I listed back then have now actually occurred. Believe me, I relied on the Good Lord a lot in writing the original tale. You might check out the Book of Revelation, but not in fear. The organization known as ASEAN, was an organization, primarily...at the time I wrote "A Coming Storm", an oriental match-up of 3 countries, while in my first book back then ASEAN is listed as 10-countries and had surpassed their earlier association between the three countries. In my original book, rather then just being a business association, they exceed the 3 countries and are shown as 10 with a military support program and are led by China. NOW they are 10 countries in ASEAN and have established numerous military program, with China as their main advisor and arms supporter. Now some of you might laugh, blame it on all the drugs I used to take, but the idea for A Coming Storm came to me in multiple dreams within a short span. Well, you can all think what you wish and simply enjoy it as a nice sci-fiction. But, keep a close eye on ASEAN, ( I can't recall if this Association or Alliance of South East Nations), watch them and what China is doing with them. You might recall, how shocked our intelligence community was when we thought China was unveiling its first nuclear submarine, only to learn China had three other active nuke subs at the ceremony. Sort of like the downfall of the Berlin Wall, when the CIA got caught with their pants down. In my story, written 20 yrs ago, I use three Chinese nuke subs to attack the USA. All 3 are carried across the pacific, hidden inside super tankers with their reactors off and dropped into the depths of the Gulf of Mexico. When they launch on that dreadful day, the USA is caught dumbfounded and most of the USA didn't survive.
So, you might check out A Coming Storm, by book or Kindle, and then read my new saga as each book is released. But, again this is Science Fiction....I hope. Oh lastly, Mona and I spent the day as helpers for the International Prophet Gramm Green when he came to Anchorage. I shared with him about my dreams and how I was writing a new book...my first book and he advised Mona and I that hundreds of people from all over had shared with him of having these same dreams. Some are writers, others have different specialties. I found this very interesting.
I'll just leave you with that. Am I just a nut, or did I respond to God with what He wanted me to do??? What are the others doing?
What I do find amazing is how so many Christians have trouble believing in the Book of Revelation, though they believe in the rest of the Bible. Enough from me on this. Oh, I have stopped taking all those drugs some time ago.
