Update on my writing through Alaska Dreams Publishing Company: We are re-releasing "A Coming Storm" very soon under a new cover, because we heard from so many of how the previous cover basically "stunk". People didn't bother to look at the material after viewing the cover, so we will attempt to hit a new market. Now for those of you who may not have heard, earlier, this manuscript was given to me over several nights of dreams and in the beginning it comes with a listing of 10 prophecies. Of these 10, 6 have come about and this includes the alliance between China and Russia, the building of a major roadway from China up into Russia and nearing the Russian oil fields. (this roadway will be built to monitor the pipeline, just as our Alaskan Pipeline is monitored and both roadways are hard packed for year round travel and can be made capable to handle Chinese heavy armor.) There is also the recent alliance of the 10 Oriental countries under China's leadership for economic reasons, but in my book it will turn into a far different reason and this prophecy came months before the countries came together.
Since then I have written a prequel entitled "Dawn of Prophecy" and a sequel to "A Coming Storm", which is entitled "The Final Challenge". I believe we will call the trilogy "Fire and Ice", with the above subtitles, added by "The Return", for "A Coming Storm", but the "Fire and Ice" is not finalized.
I have recently completed 3 out of 4 books for an Arizona Ranger Series, set in 1850-1890s. The first book, "Blake's War", is now being edited.
I have also completed two terrorist stories, but they are still under review by the publisher.
Now the 2nd book in the "Apache Snow" series in entitled "In Search of Honor", which has been edited and the cover nearly finished. We hope to have it out before the end of July and I really believe for those of you who enjoyed Apache Snow, you'll appreciate "In Search of Honor". I am planning the third book in the series right now and this one will involve the war now being fought in the desert campaigns. I have 5 sons to interview who were over there to give me a base line and I'll go from there with others. I'm not sure if there will be a 4th or 5th, but it will depend on how will the other books do in this series.
My present book assignment is called "Rookie", set in Dillingham, Alaska in 1981. Using fictional characters, this book involves my rookie year as a police officer and the actual police cases I worked. From my first homicide/gang rape to many others, including a fishing strike that nearly burned the town's large boat harbor from being burned to the waterline, racial strife that set the whites in town against the police officers, including an 8-man ambush set to kill two cops, but all this with the Alaskan Natives on our side. A very strange time in our life, for my wife and I. The first of a possible 4 or 5 book series.
That's about it for now, I have a meeting to attend. Remember, if you want to write, then forge ahead and write. Do not let anyone put you down, try various styles and topics. Just do not give up.
Goodnight and God bless. BILL
